Nuno Espirito Santo urges patience with Tottenham ace Tanguy Ndombele after Wolves performance
According to Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur manager Nuno Espirito Santo has urged patience with Tanguy Ndombele. The Frenchman produced one of his signature performances against Wolves with a goal for his side and errors leading to the opposition goals.
Not too long ago, Tanguy Ndombele was nowhere to be seen near the first team. He was yet to feature for the new boss even until 10 days ago. Now, he has made his third consecutive start for him. His introduction sparked a creative fuse in the side as Spurs looked much more expansive in the attack, creating more clear cut opportunities.

The midfielder opened the scoring with a well-taken goal and created more chances. However, as expected, he ended up gifting two goals to the home side. His prolonged possession of the ball and dilly-dallying was taken advantage of as Wolves snatched it off him and equalised the game at a time when Spurs should have closed shop.
With an encouraging yet mixed performance from the enigmatic 24-year-old midfielder, Nuno refused to put him under the scanner and urged patience.
“Let’s try to avoid as much as we can individual analysis. We will do it and we will do it amongst ourselves. I think we have to be patient with Tanguy because all that happened in pre-season and this is his third game and already we’ve had however many games we’ve played so far. So let’s be patient with all our players and patient with the time that they need to get to the level that I truly believe their talent can allow.”

It is understandable that Ndombele would produce this sort of performance. Spurs are surely a better side with him in the XI and they might just have to iron out those errors. Perhaps Nuno is right and patience could go a long way in unlocking his best form that can go on to benefit the side.
