Tottenham managing director Fabio Paratici talks about Harry Kane future and interest in Dusan Vlahovic
In conversation at the Festival dello Sport event (h/t Football London), Fabio Paratici has spoken about the future of Harry Kane at Tottenham Hotspur and links to ACF Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic.
The Lilywhities have had a mixed start to life in the Premier League. Their talisman and English captain, Kane, has failed to open his account in England’s top flight this season. Tottenham currently sit in 8th position in the PL at the moment.
Nuno Espirito Santo has just arrived at the club and may need some time to find his feet against after having a stellar start to this campaign. There has been a looming uncertainty around Kane’s future with him being linked to fellow rivals Manchester City.
Paratici made his views on Harry Kane’s future and position very clear with his statements:
“Harry Kane loves Tottenham. We’ve decided to keep Harry last summer to start the re-building, and we’re happy with our choice. There’s no need of any new talk with Harry. He knows how to share the sense of belonging to Spurs”
Dusan Vlahovic is another youngster who has been making heads turn across Europe. The 21-year-old striker has been a revelation for Fiorentina and the club were willing to offer him a bumper contract that could make him the highest reading player. That being said it is alleged that the Serbian international has refused to sign the new contract and this has caught the attention of clubs including Tottenham.
With his main man failing to provide the finish touches in front of the goal, Santo could really use a young exciting striker who could reenergize the squad and put them back to scoring ways. The 21-year-old Serbian striker seems to fit that criterion very well.
The Managing Director of Football at Tottenham Hotspur also went on to speak about the rumours that are surrounding Vlahovic and the Lilywhites:
“Dusan Vlahovic is appreciated by many clubs, it’s normal – he’s not in our plans, for now. I’m not gonna speak about Dusan Vlahovic as he’s under contract with Fiorentina… and also because we’ve Harry Kane, who’s the best centre-striker in the world.”

Spurs seem to be regaining some of their form as they got back to winning ways in the Premier League against Aston Villa courtesy of a beautiful goal from Pierre-Emile Højbjerg and an own goal from Villian defender Matt Target. The manager and fans would be hoping that their club can find some consistency and continue their form.
