Some fans react as Tottenham Hotspur draw 0-0 against Everton
According to the club’s official Twitter account, Tottenham Hotspur drew 0-0 with Everton in Antonio Conte’s first league game in charge.
The Italian manager began a new era for Spurs in the Premier League, and the mood in the away stands for as good as it has been this season. Nuno Espirito Santo was never going to take the club any further than he already had, and it was perhaps the right decision to let him go as early as we could.
Conte kept an unchanged XI from the one that won 3-2 against Vitesse in mid-week. Tottenham were finally playing with an identity as everybody looked assured of their roles.
However, despite all the enthusiasm and the motivation charged on by the 52-year-old on the pitch, Harry Kane, Lucas Moura, and Son Heung-min failed to produce anything meaningful in the final third. The first half went by as Spurs lacked the cutting edge.
The second half began in an end-to-end fashion, and just after 20 minutes, Richarlison leapt onto a deflected pass and then went down in the penalty box after Lloris came between him and the ball. The referee awarded a penalty, only to overturn it after he saw that the French goalkeeper nipped at the ball first.
Spurs got out of jail, and Conte ringed in the changes as he brought in Giovani Lo Celso and Matt Doherty. The duo certainly started showing their presence in the final third as the Irish full-back delivered cross after cross. However, the biggest chance fell to the Argentinian playmaker 5 minutes from time, as he hit the post and the ball bounced out.
Mason Holgate received a red card in the dying embers of the game for his follow through on Pierre Emile Hojbjerg, but despite all of this, the Italian’s first league game in charge ended with 0 shots on target.
Let us now see how some fans reacted on Twitter to Tottenham drawing 0-0 with the Toffees.

Not good but not bad. Conte still finding his feet with this team. Onto the next game.

Not a great performance, but Goodison never an easy place.
Hard for Reggy/Emerson to get more forward as they would have liked.
Penalty and Holgate calls both correct. Davies/Skipp impressive. Lo Celso unlucky.
Early days, so hard for Conte to really implement. COYS 🤍

Alot of work still to do. The defence still shaky and doesn't fill anyone with confidence but we take a resilient point away
Creativty still an issue too
Conte isnt stupid,he will already have an idea who he can rely on. Some players clearly have no future at Spurs

Kane needs dropping. Would be nice if we actually had an alternative.

The new manager bounce lasted 30 minutes of the first game. Pain.
Another game with no shots on target. Pain.
