Tottenham Hotspur could make a contract offer to Paulo Dybala following Inter Milan complication.

Inter Milan line up contract offer for Tottenham Hotspur for transfer target Paulo Dybala

According to the Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport via Football Italia (h/t The Sun), Inter Milan have lined up a contract offer for Juventus superstar Paulo Dybala amidst interest from Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the summer transfer window. He is in line to leave Allianz Stadium after spending seven long years in Turin.

Dybala will see his current contract with Juve expires at the end of the 2021-22 season. An extension has not been agreed upon yet and talks will continue further this week. They are eager to renew his deal but common ground so far eludes both sides. That has opened the door for other clubs to try their cards to secure his signature next summer.

Inter and Tottenham are in the mix alongside Atletico Madrid and Barcelona as they look to prise the 28-year-old at the end of this season. The Nerazzurri are pushing ahead and are preparing to offer a contract until 2026, which will see him earn £6.6million net per season along with £1.65m in add-ons.

Spurs must not let up!

Signing someone like the Argentine on a free transfer would be a great prospect for us, especially when we are looking to back Antonio Conte with quality additions. There is an obvious need for players who can uplift the squad instantly and the attacker can be that man for us- should we sign them next summer.

The contract offer from the Serie A holders should not trouble us since they cannot reach a pre-contract agreement with the Juve forward. After all, that is only applicable to foreign clubs, which means that we have a strong advantage over the Milan based club. Moreover, the attacker could arguably prefer to move abroad as he would leave a sour taste with his current fans if he moves to a direct rival.

Moreover, we can now get an idea about the proposal that we need to prepare if we hope to finalise a transfer after this campaign. That being said, we must make our case with the Argentine since discussions over a contract extension are set to take place this week.

After all, we do not want the Bianconeri to tie down the Serie A superstar on a new deal in the coming months. We cannot afford to take Atletico and Barca lightly as they certainly possess the capabilities to beat us to acquire the desired targets. That being said, Fabio Paratici could help us get him in the bag with the connections he has made due to his previous tenure at Turin.

It would not be too much of a reach to say that is the case since Paratici has helped us get Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur very late in the January transfer window. The club director must finally get Dybala into our ranks as the latter could greatly boost our forward department. Whether we can finally acquire our long term target or not remains to be seen in the coming months.
