Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Paulo Dybala will not renew his contract with Juventus
According to the Italian news source Calciomercato (h/t Liverpool Echo), Paulo Dybala, who is a target for Tottenham Hotspur, will not renew his current contract with Juventus ahead of the summer transfer window. That could pave the way for the English club to try their cards to sign him at the end of this season.
Dybala has less than six months left in his current deal at Turin, which has resulted in uncertainty surrounding his future with Juve. However, it seems that a renewal is off the cards going by this latest update. It is claimed that there is “no chance” for a contract extension which means that he would leave the club for free after this term.
Tottenham are not the only ones keeping tabs on the situation, as Arsenal and Liverpool are also monitoring the developments. Since an extension is off the table, it remains to be seen where the Argentine would end up playing for next season.
Spurs must sign Dybala!
A free transfer opportunity is always something to keep an eye on, which is especially the case when it comes to a world-class star like the 28-year-old. We must do everything in our power to add him to our squad in an attempt to challenge for titles under Antonio Conte.
The Bianconeri forward has struggled with injuries throughout this term, but that has not stopped him from performing at a good level. With 12 goals and six assists to his name this season from 27 matches, he certainly has enjoyed a solid campaign despite the lack of consistent game time due to these setbacks.
Fabio Paratici must try and reach a pre-contract agreement with the Serie A attacker as soon as possible to complete a deal at the earliest. After all, we do not want to hang around for too long and let the Gunners and Jurgen Klopp’s side make their case to the second-striker.
One could argue that we do not need the Argentinian in our team, considering how Dejan Kulusevski and Lucas Moura are the current set of options. However, that should not prevent us from pursuing Dybala, as top clubs usually are filled with quality additions across several positions to account for strength in depth.

Moreover, Kulusevski and Dybala can be utilised in different positions, offering Conte the possibility to tinker with his formations. That is always a great asset to have as it could help us to deal with the different problems that would challenge us during a season.
Moreover, Dybala’s goal output would also help to take some weight away from Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min in the attack. There have been times when we have been over-reliant on them, and having someone who can share the responsibilities is always good for us. Now it is up to the board to finalise a move ahead of the next campaign.
