Antonio Conte believes his ideas are getting through to the Tottenham Hotspur squad
According to The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte claims to have more faith in his squad as his ideas continue to permeate through the side.
The Italian took over from Nuno Espirito Santo earlier in the season but has so far enjoyed a mixed run of results. Tottenham will once again end the season trophyless but remain in the fray for a top-four finish in the Premier League.
Securing UEFA Champions League qualification could very well accelerate the club’s rebuild and Spurs have every reason to fight for a spot at Europe’s top table. Conte’s comment of having more faith in his side is a welcome admission going into the final weeks of the season.
The Italian believes his side are improving and recent results would allude to that. A perfectionist of sorts, Conte is not one to mince words. With key games to come, it augurs well for Spurs fans to have their manager claim to have faith in his players.
“This league is very difficult but if you compare it to the past my team has improved a lot. I feel now more comfortable to face the opponent.”
With just the Premier League to focus on, Conte and his team are putting in the hard hours on the training field to ensure that Tottenham are as prepared as they can be. This relaxed schedule has worked in our favour and Conte believes so.
|”Honestly to prepare a game every six or seven days instead of every two days changes things totally. Change totally, because you prepare with accuracy. For this reason the team is improving and you can see that in our football now.”
Spurs take on Aston Villa later tonight and will be keen to secure all three points. It should help keep pressure on Arsenal ahead of next month’s crucial North London derby.

Conte’s admission is heartening and will serve us well in the months to come. With the season almost done and dusted, it will be a great achievement for Spurs to secure Champions League qualification.
The motivation of having done so coupled with a full pre-season to work on tactics and integrate new players should aid Conte in reaching greater heights in 2022-23. For now, all focus will be on our final seven games of the season.
