Harry Winks, Joe Rodon and Steven Bergwijn are expected to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer
According to the Mirror, the Tottenham Hotspur trio of Harry Winks, Joe Rodon and Steven Bergwijn are all expected to leave Tottenham this summer. All three players fell out of favour with the coach and are expected to leave.
Antonio Conte is doing a makeover of the squad, and these players do not fit in the Italian’s team. Tottenham will be hoping to earn some money from their sales to help facilitate the arrival of new players.
All three players have been linked to different clubs, and it seems that they all could make a move away from Spurs. Tottenham, meanwhile, have already targeted their replacements and appear to be ahead of the curve.
A well thought out exodus?
Bergwijn has made no secret of his desire to leave the club this summer. Tottenham are willing to demand more than £20 million for his signature. He made 25 appearances for the club in the Premier League last season, mostly as a substitute and could now be on his way to Ajax. Spurs are linked with Leeds United winger Raphinha as a potential replacement.
Winks will also be allowed to leave this summer, with the Englishman falling down the pecking order. A Tottenham academy graduate, Winks made a total of 30 appearances for the club in all competitions scoring one goal and assisting twice last season. With the arrival of Yves Bissouma, his chances will now be more limited. Everton and Crystal Palace are the two teams linked with him and Spurs are willing to listen to offers of £20 million.
Rodon is another player on the list who could leave Spurs. The Wales international made only three appearances for Tottenham in the League last season. This clearly shows he has no prominent role in Conte’s plans. The newly-promoted side, Nottingham Forest are interested in the player and could be reunited with his former Swansea boss, Steve Cooper. Tottenham, meanwhile, are linked with Villarreal defender, Pau Torres.
The departure of all these players will make room in the squad and as well as the wage bill. It would be a wise decision for both the club and players to depart as they are unlikely to move up the pecking order.

Every footballer wants to be a starter for their club. And it looks far from possible for these players to be one at Tottenham. The fans could have mixed reactions to their departure as some would miss them while others might think it was a good decision. Only time will tell who had the right feeling.
