Louis Saha believes Erling Haaland will win PL Golden Boot ahead of Tottenham stars Harry Kane and Son Heung-min
Tottenham Hotspur forwards Harry Kane and Son Heung-min will not win next season’s Premier League Golden Boot, according to Louis Saha, speaking to BonusCodeBets (h/t football.london).
“Harry Kane and Heung-min Son are contenders for the Golden Boot, but Erling Haaland is the perfect fit for Man City.”
The former Premier League and Spurs striker believes Erling Haaland will be the frontrunner in the Golden Boot race. Manchester City’s Norwegian striker is Saha’s pick to be the league’s top goalscorer next season.
“Haaland is going to score headers, tap-ins and physical goals because Man City are masters in providing the ball to their forwards. So I can’t see any other top scorer than Haaland next season.”
Son won the Golden Boot alongside Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah last season, scoring 23 goals in the campaign. The South Korean was a significant reason for the North London side’s qualification to the Champions League, securing the fourth spot in the league.
Son has been consistently performing for Tottenham the last few seasons and took his game up a notch in the 2021/22 season. His partnership ship with Kane has been record-breaking. Earlier this year, the duo broke the record for Premier League goal combinations.
England’s captain didn’t have the best season in front of goal the previous campaign, but the 28-year-old has evolved his game since playing under Jose Mourinho, dropping deep and being the playmaker on occasions.
Kane has won three Golden Boots previously and will be gunning for a fourth next season. The striker burst onto the scene in the 2014/15 season and hasn’t stopped since. The 28-year-old has featured in 385 games for the Lilywhites, scoring 247 goals and providing 59 assists.
Haaland makes his move to England after impressing in his time at Borussia Dortmund. There’s no denying the Norwegian’s quality, but how he adapts to Pep Guardiola and the Premier League remains to be seen.
Fans have seen some of the best players suffer after moving to England’s first-tier. It isn’t a guarantee that Haaland will have the same impact in the Premier League as he had in the Bundesliga.

To count Kane and Son out before the start of the season is premature. Spurs fans know the qualities these two possess in front of goal. And with the quality additions to Antonio Conte’s side, next season will be even more interesting at the N17.
