Harry Kane open to renewing his contract with Tottenham Hotspur
According to Football.London, Harry Kane may start contract extension negotiations as a result of the summer purchasing spree aimed at bolstering Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur squad.
Kane’s long-term future has frequently been under speculation in north London following the England captain’s zeal for trophies. Even though his current contract doesn’t expire until June 2024, elite teams have shown interest in his services.
Kane has been clear about his aspirations, and before Spurs turned down a £100 million offer from Manchester City last summer, he was ready to join them. Since then, City have acquired Erling Haaland, and the interest in Kane has died down.
Spurs have been very active this summer, adding Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, Clement Lenglet, and Djed Spence to their roster. While these are still early days, the future looks bright for the North Londoners.
Kane is now ‘open to talks’ since he is so pleased with the club’s transfer business. Tottenham are content with the scenario even if they haven’t yet made a fresh contract offer to Kane’s entourage. Kane’s admiration for the Spurs’ efforts may persuade the pair to continue their collaboration.
Kane struggled to discover his mojo following last summer’s attempts to force a transfer to Man City. But Conte’s appointment as Nuno Espirito Santo’s replacement and the team’s fourth-place finish in the previous campaign have given the centre-forward new life.
Consistency is one of the key factors for a great career. For many years, our vice-captain has been dependable. A reliable goalscorer, he found the back of the net 27 times in the last campaign.
Every athlete hopes to take home a trophy. The team’s ability to win a trophy at the end of the season is a sign of their success. Trophies will be a deciding factor when people discuss the greatest players in history in a few years.
Everywhere Conte has gone, he has experienced success. And right now, the club management is giving him the resources he needs to accomplish something that hasn’t been done in 14 years.
Since we haven’t claimed a championship since 2008, the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium crowd is eager to see our captain hoisting trophies. Fans are feeling a little more upbeat as they look forward to the upcoming season.
In recent years, we’ve gone very close to ending the trophy drought but ultimately fell short. Some of the new additions made this summer have experience and will add some much-needed winning mentality to the roster.
