Tottenham Hotspur’s attacking trio named “best in the country” by Ally McCoist
Rangers legend Ally McCoist has named Tottenham Hotspur’s front three as the best in the country after Spurs’ win against Southampton on Saturday.
Spurs cruised to a 4-1 win against the Saints despite trailing in the opening 12 minutes. Despite Harry Kane not assisting or scoring any goal, the Lilywhites found the back of the net four times.
Dejan Kulusevski assisted the opener and scored the fourth goal of the game. Son Heung-min was equally lively down the flanks and put in the cross that was finished off by Eric Dier.
“When you look at [Dejan] Kulusevski, Son and Harry Kane, they’re arguably the best front three in the country. They really are. They’re fantastic.”
What about Richarlison?
McCoist then went on to compare the Spurs trio to Manchester City and Liverpool’s front three. He rates Mohamed Salah highly, but as a unit, the Scottish legend believes Spurs’ trio is arguably the best in business in England.
“You can argue [Mohamed] Salah’s a better player. I’ll stand by what I’ve said because they might be better than [Erling] Haaland, [Phil] Foden and [Jack] Grealish. Absolutely.”
If McCoist is right, then it would come as bad news for Richarlison. The Brazilian striker was our headline signing from Everton this summer but if Conte really has the best three in England, then it makes it very hard to fit Richarlison in the starting XI.

He will get his chances – the Brail international would either be made a regular in the starting XI, rotated on a regular basis, brought off the bench, or play in cup games. But it is hard to imagine that our current front three has a player that could be deservingly dropped for Richarlison.
