Transfer News: Bayern Munich are hoping that Harry Kane does not renew his contract at Tottenham Hotspur

According to Bild journalist Christian Falk via Twitter (h/t Football Transfer Tavern), Bayern Munich are hoping that Harry Kane does not renew his contract at Tottenham Hotspur.

Kane’s current contract runs till 2024, but there is hope that the 29-year-old extends his stay. Spurs fans are not ready to see their talisman leave next year or any year.

The England international was linked with a move to Manchester City last summer and a saga followed. However, Daniel Levy was reluctant to allow the striker to leave and ultimately he won.

But that does not mean top European clubs don’t want the lethal striker in their squad. This summer it was the Munich-based club who had their eyes on the player, but nothing materialised.

Now, the bosses at Munich are hoping that the striker does not sign any new contract extension. They plan to approach the Spurs vice-captain next summer. This could become another task for Levy and Antonio Conte.

The 29-year-old is one of the most prolific strikers in Europe. A goal machine, the England captain has scored a whopping 253 goals in 392 games for the north London side. Any club will love to have a player with these numbers.
