Spurs Injury News: Dejan Kulusevski ‘will return’ for Tottenham Hotspur against Liverpool
Dejan Kulusevski will be called up by Tottenham Hotspur to make the matchday squad for the Premier League clash against Liverpool on Sunday (6 November), according to Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Sweden international has been sidelined for quite some time now and has missed our last 10 games across competitions with a hamstring issue. In his absence, manager Antonio Conte has struggled.
Richarlison has also been injured since the 2-0 win against Everton, which has seen us play with a 3-5-2 formation at times with Harry Kane and Son Heung-min up top. Amidst this, the eye fracture suffered by Son Heung-min against Olympique de Marseille was a nightmare scenario.
The South Korea international will undergo surgery and will miss the game against the Reds as a result. Hence, Kulusevski’s potential return to Spurs’ squad comes as a brilliant piece of news.
Kulusevski injury boost for Spurs for Liverpool clash
The Swede has been one of our best players ever since he arrived at N17 from Juventus in January this year. He has one goal and three assists from nine games across competitions this season but it is his darting runs down the flank and the willingness to run at defenders that is his strongest suit.
It remains to be seen if he will start against the Reds. Manager Jurgen Klopp has seen his Liverpool have a shocking start to the Premier League season and they are definitely there for the taking for Spurs.
But with our injury problems, perhaps we may have to take a more defensive approach to this game. Lucas Moura and Bryan Gil are our fit attackers alongside Kane but the former two haven’t been trusted by Conte to start in big games.
