Tottenham Hotspur target Nicolo Zaniolo is keen to join the club in the January transfer window
According to SportMediaSet (h/t Football London), Tottenham Hotspur target Nicolo Zaniolo is interested in a move to the club in the January transfer window.
Zaniolo was previously on Spurs’ radar but a move never materialised. Now it seems the interest could be reignited again with the player keen on working under Antonio Conte.
A stumbling block for a deal for the 23-year-old would be the asking price as AS Roma values the player at around £30 million but Spurs are willing to pay close to £18 million to secure his transfer.
It does smell of a deal that can potentially happen as there is not a big difference between the two club’s valuations and common ground could be reached before the window closes.
Conte would be aware of the quality that Zaniolo possesses having played against him during his time at Inter Milan. He would definitely be a very smart signing considering our attackers, bar Harry Kane and Dejan Kulusevski, have been way below par this season.
Son Heung-Min looks like a shadow of the form that he showed last season while Richarlison has failed to truly convince many since his move from Everton.
While Kulusevski is a very good player, injuries have disrupted his season and although he was on the scoresheet against Manchester City, Zaniola could provide the added firepower to the team which has been missing the past few weeks.
