Tottenham loanee Sergio Reguilon sidelined for a month with muscle injury

According to Spanish publication Marca, Tottenham Hotspur loanee Sergio Reguilon has suffered an injury that will see him miss footballing action for at least one month.

Sergio Reguilon, the dynamic left-back, who joined Atletico Madrid on loan this season after falling out with Spurs boss Antonio Conte, has been hit with a muscle injury that will see him out of action for over a month.

Reguilon’s time at Atletico has been a mixed bag so far, with injuries and inconsistent performances. However, this setback will come as a significant blow to the player and his temporary club.

Atletico has been on a rollercoaster of a ride this season, with injuries and inconsistent form affecting their performances. Reguilon has not really been a major player for the Spanish club and his absence might not affect them too much.

Tottenham fans had high hopes for Reguilon when he was loaned out to Atletico, hoping that he could get some valuable game time and experience. Tottenham fans had high hopes for Reguilon when he was loaned out to Atletico, hoping that he could get some valuable game time and experience.

Reguilon really does not seem to have a future at the club and it would not have been a surprise to see the club ship him out at the end of the season. Antonio Conte does not seem to rate the Spaniard.

The talented former Real Madrid left-back was signed with much expectation to the North London club and after a very promising start to life at N17, things have steadily gone downhill for him.

Tottenham would have been hoping as a best-case scenario that Reguilon would have managed to get regular game time at Atletico where he could impress and then, eventually be sold on for a good price.

That is however not the case and we need to accept the fact that we might have to cut our losses with the Spaniard. Let’s see how the future shapes up for Reguilon.
