Steve Cooper emerges as a managerial option for Tottenham Hotspur
According to Daily Mail, Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper has emerged as a managerial option for Tottenham Hotspur should Antonio Conte leave the club.
Cooper has made a name for himself in the football world, particularly for his impressive work at Forest. He has led the team back to the Premier League and has managed to keep them away from the relegation zone.
Tottenham is just one of at least two other Premier League clubs interested in Cooper. The likes of Chelsea, West Ham, Southampton, and Leeds are also said to be keeping a close eye on the Forest manager.
Tottenham, in particular, is in a state of flux. Antonio Conte’s contract with the club is set to expire in June, and the board is already searching for a potential replacement. While there are a number of options available, Cooper is an intriguing prospect.
Of course, Cooper’s availability is far from guaranteed. Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis is reportedly a big fan of the manager and is not keen on letting him go. Thus, Tottenham might have to look for other options.
If Cooper were to make the move to Tottenham, he would be taking on a team that has a lot of potential. Despite their recent struggles, Spurs have a talented squad that could benefit greatly from a manager who can bring out the best in them.
Cooper, 43, will be facing some of the best teams in the world, and he will need to be prepared for the challenges that come with that. Nonetheless, if he is up for the challenge, he could be exactly what Tottenham needs.
We still don’t know for sure if Antonio Conte is leaving the club. The Italian manager is yet to sign a new deal with the club and there are some murmurs that this might be the last season the two parties are together.
