Bayern Munich president refuses to close door on transfer for Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane
Uli Hoeness, the president of Bayern Munich, has refused to close the door on a possible move for Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane in the coming future.
According to a previous report from Bild (h/t The Sun), the Bundesliga giants are eyeing a move for the England international. The 29-year-old’s current contract at the North London side will expire in the summer of 2024.
Speaking to Sky Sport Germany via Florian Plettenberg on Twitter, Hoeness revealed that while he had his own opinion on the striker, the Bavarians have not completely ruled out his signing.
“I would give my private opinion. But I am one of 9 supervisory board members and if the other 8 say: ‘He will be bought’. Then he will be bought! We live in a democracy.”
Kane made his way through the youth ranks at Tottenham. After a few seasons out on loan, the 29-year-old broke onto the scene in the 2014/15 campaign.
Subsequently, since then, the England international has consistently found the back of the net for the North London side. Over the years, the striker has won multiple Premier League Golden Boots.
In the current campaign, Kane has once again been a pivotal player for us. He has been the only forward who has contributed considerably in front of goal for Antonio Conte.
The 29-year-old has also been England’s talisman for some time now. Under the striker’s captainship, the Three Lions have been impressive in the last few major international competitions, making it to the World Cup semi-final in 2018 and the Euro 2020 final.
Unfortunately, while Kane has performed to the highest of standards, trophies have eluded him at Tottenham. We have reached a couple of finals in recent times but have failed to get over the line.

Thankfully, the hierarchy at Bayern seem to have mixed feelings about the England international. However, it still remains to be seen whether any other top side will pursue the 29-year-old next summer.
