Leicester City ready to make €35m offer for Tottenham Hotspur target Perr Schuurs
Leicester City are ready to make an offer of €35million for Torino centre-back Perr Schuurs, who could also be on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur.
This is according to InterLive (h/t LeicestershireLive), who claim that a move to the Premier League seems inevitable for the Dutch centre-back. He joined Torino just last year from Ajax Amsterdam for a fee of 9million Euros.
Schuurs has since provided two assists in 19 Serie A games but the 23-year-old could now be on his way to the Premier League. Manchester United, Liverpool and Inter Milan have also been named as potential suitors.
We do need a centre-back to partner Eric Dier and Cristian Romero on a regular basis. It’s about time we let Ben Davies off the hook and stop playing him out of position at centre-back.
Schuurs to Spurs?
Dier isn’t a world-beater every day of the week himself and we do need players capable of challenging for the starting spots on a regular basis. Schuurs is an unknown quantity for many Premier League fans.
But given the names of the teams that have been linked with him, the Netherlands international is certainly doing something right. Inter are supposedly after him to replace Stefan de Vrij, who could leave the club in the near future.
€40million is believed to be the least Torino want for his services. That’s a bit high for a player who is yet to prove himself at the highest level but given he just joined the Serie A club last summer, the fee does make sense from their point of view.

Of course, that would mean making a huge profit on the player but that’s something they would think they deserve for getting the player before the other big hitters in Europe.
