Lazio eyeing Tottenham Hotspur forward Bryan Gil
Serie A giants Lazio are eyeing a move for Tottenham Hotspur star Bryan Gil, who is currently on loan at Sevilla, according to Corriere dello Sport via LazioNews24.
The Spain U21 international joined the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium side on a temporary move in January. Since then, the youngster has found regular minutes at the La Liga outfit.
Maurizio Sarri’s team are looking to bolster the attack in the upcoming transfer window. Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi is the Biancocelesti’s top target. However, the Serie A outfit will have to pay €30 million for him. As a result, they are eyeing a cheaper alternative in the Spurs loanee.
Gil made his way through the youth ranks at Sevilla. After a few impressive loan spells away from the Andalusian club, the North London side came knocking to acquire the 22-year-old’s services.
However, the youngster has found game time hard to come by during his stint at Tottenham. The Spaniard spent the second half of last season on loan at Valencia.
Similarly, Gil opted to rejoin the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium side in the previous transfer window. The forward has made 23 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga outfit in the current campaign, scoring two goals and providing three assists.

Tottenham have relied on Harry Kane up top for some time now. Out wide, Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski have been the first choice in the last few months.
However, the South Korean and the Sweden international have been underwhelming for the majority of this season. Richarlison has also not had the required impact. Lucas Moura is set to leave the club in the coming months as well.

Gil has shown a lot of promise over the years. However, the youngster has not been given adequate opportunities to prove himself at Spurs. With Moura leaving, it would be wise to keep a hold of the Spaniard and integrate him into the team.
