Barcelona want €15m or more to sell Tottenham Hotspur target Franck Kessie
According to Spanish publication Sport, Barcelona have made it clear that they want at least €15m to sell Tottenham Hotspur target Franck Kessie.
Tottenham’s interest in Kessie dates back ever since Antonio Conte was the manager of the club. Despite the managerial and personnel changes at the N17, the club continue to want to sign the talented midfiedler.
Kessie is a very talented midfielder who would really thrive in the right system. A box-to-box physical presence who is also adept on the ball, Ange Postecoglou would love to have him in his team.
Barcelona signed the former AC Milan midfielder on a free transfer last summer and he had a mixed first season at the club. The presence of players like Sergio Busquets, Frenkie de Jong, Pedri and Gavi meant that Franck Kessie was merely a rotational option.
This season, the Spanish club have signed Ilkay Gundogan and Oriol Romeu. If the pre-season games are any evidence to go by, even La Masia starlet Fermin Lopez is ahead of the Ivory Coast midfielder in the pecking order.
Everything points to an exit from Barcelona for Kessie. Luckily for him, he is not short of suitors. Tottenham and Juventus are keen on signing the talented footballer and it is up to him to make a choice.
Yes, there is the situation of agreeing a transfer fee with Barcelona for the player but at the supposed asking price of €15m, in today’s transfer market, Kessie would represent a steal for the buying club.
People seem to have forgotten how good Kessie can be. A work horse in midfield for AC Milan, there is so much that the Ivory Coast star brings to the table and Tottenham must make sure they sign him.
