Daniel Levy has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have a buyback clause for Harry Kane
According to football.london, Tottenham Hotspur honcho Daniel Levy has confirmed that the North London giants have a buyback clause for former striker Harry Kane. He made the revelation while talking to the Tottenham fans’ forum on Tuesday.
The English skipper moved to German champions Bayern Munich in a mega deal earlier this summer. One of the finest players of his generation, Kane has taken to life in Bavaria like a fish to water.
The 30-year-old was Spurs’ attacking lynchpin for several years but failed to lead us to a trophy. However, he is not short of individual accolades and is both Tottenham and England all time top goal scorer.
Tottenham actively sought to retain the 30-year-old but he sought a new challenge. With his contract winding down there was little choice we had in the matter lest he penned an extension.
However, it would appear that Levy managed to pull off a blinder. Not only did we get paid a king’s ransom for a player with just one year left on his contract but also managed to insert a buyback clause into the deal.
For now, we have just Levy’s word to go off and there is no concrete information as to the stipulations of the buyback clause. Hopefully, it gets clearer in time and we will get to know the full extent of how much Levy managed to swing in our favour.
Kane is already a club legend and will go down as one of the finest players to ever grace the N-17. It remains to be seen if a glorious homecoming is on the cards in his future.

One record that has eluded Kane so far is that of the Premier League all time goal scorer. He currently trails Alan Shearer’s 260 goal tally by 47 strikes. Whether it is something the 30-year-old will get a second shot at remains to be seen.
