Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou becomes the first-ever manager to win the Premier League monthly gong in his first three months at the job
Ange Postecoglou has already won the hearts of Tottenham Hotspur fans and Premier League neutrals the world over and continues to go from strength to strength at N-17.
The Australian took Spurs to the top of the Premier League standings ahead of the last international break. Tottenham suffered their first loss of the campaign last Monday against Chelsea and remain in contention for a surprise title charge.
Despite the latest setback, we have several reasons to be optimistic and appear to finally have a manager who gets the pulse of the team. As long as he continues to do what he is doing, there is optimism that a golden age for Tottenham could be in the offing.
But on a personal level, it has been another winning week for Postecoglou. He was declared the Premier League manager of the month for October, once again beating his rivals to the gong.
According to The BBC, this makes the 58-year-old the first manager in Premier League history to sweep the award during his first three months at the start of the league campaign. Given the incredible run we have had so far, few can begrudge Postecoglou for his slice of history.
Tottenham defeated Luton Town, Fulham and Crystal Palace in October. A trip to Luton is never easy as we saw Liverpool flounder last time around. Under Ange, we appear to have picked up the mentality to see out difficult games that we might have lost in the past.

🥇 Manager of the Month in August
🥇 Manager of the Month in September
🥇 Manager of the Month in October
Hat-trick
Postecoglou had already made history earlier this campaign, becoming the first manager from Australia to be conferred the award. Surely he is inspiring a whole new generation of Spurs supporters down under and increasing our profile on the continent.
He also joins Antonio Conte and Jurgen Klopp in the elite list of managers who have won it in three consecutive months. The latter two won the league with Chelsea and Liverpool in those seasons and we hope lighting can strike thrice.

Postecoglou will have little time to dwell on his success and will seek to get his side back to winning ways against Wolves. While personal honours are all well and good, it will still be a let-down should the team fail to push on and make the most of their early promise.
