Football pundit Chris Sutton believes Tottenham Hotspur can finally win the Premier League
According to BBC, football pundit Chris Sutton holds the belief that Tottenham Hotspur remains in contention for the title race. Sutton emphasizes the potential impact of the new manager’s tactics, suggesting that the club could achieve remarkable feats in their upcoming clash against Brighton.
Sutton predicts that during Tottenham Hotspur’s visit to Brighton & Hove Albion on Thursday, they could potentially become only the second Premier League club this year to secure victory at the Amex Stadium.
Sutton says:
“Tottenham are still in the title race but they were slightly fortunate to hold on and beat Everton, and you just don’t know what you are going to get from Brighton at the moment – good or bad.”
In their four Premier League home games thus far this season, the Seagulls have won four, drawn four, and only lost once—against West Ham in August. Being without a victory in their previous three games, Roberto De Zerbi’s team will undoubtedly be motivated to defeat Spurs in front of their home crowd.
Making predictions for the BBC’s Premier League schedule this week, Sutton predicts a 3-2 victory for Tottenham. Should this occur, Ange Postecoglou’s team would secure their fourth consecutive win and maintain their position ahead of the chasing pack into the next year.
However, it appears that Spurs might have to face Brighton without the inclusion of either Cristian Romero or Richarlison in the squad. Both players are currently under evaluation due to injuries, which requires monitoring. In the previous match against Everton, Spurs managed a hard-fought 2-1 victory, but unfortunately, both Romero and Richarlison had to be substituted due to hamstring and back problems, respectively.
As the year draws to close, intriguing observations have emerged, particularly regarding the manager’s readiness to make crucial decisions and provide opportunities to new players in the team. Spurs’ impressive form, trailing just four points behind league leaders Arsenal, reflects their commendable dedication.
