Tottenham stars Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie are doubts for Wolves clash

Tottenham Hotspur’s upcoming clash against Gary O’Neil’s Wolves side could see Ange Postecoglou without the services of his two first-choice full-backs, Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie.

Porro was surprisingly absent in team training ahead of the clash against Wolves, while Udogie‘s absence does not come across as a big shock as the player came off midway through the second half in our clash against Brighton and Hove Albion. These two players are extremely important when it comes to the way Ange sets his shop up.

Both offer a great deal of tactical versatility and are key players in our buildup. In their absence, the likes of Ben Davies and Emerson Royal could see themselves summoned to fill in at left and right back respectively.

More injuries……

Injury issues have consistently caused a great deal of stress for Postecoglou. The clash against Brighton was the first time he could name his strongest XI since early November. Even though we still had three absentees due to national duties, it was the closest we had been to a full-strength squad in three months.

Nevertheless, our back-up options have put in a great shift whenever the manager has relied on them. While Davies brings experience and defensive nous to the role, Royal offers pace and attacking intent down the flanks. The manager will need to carefully assess the strengths and weaknesses of his available options before making any tactical decisions.

Despite the potential setbacks, Tottenham will need to remain resilient and adaptable in the face of adversity. The team’s ability to overcome challenges and find solutions on the pitch will be crucial in maintaining its momentum in the league. While injuries may disrupt the team’s plans, they also provide an opportunity for other players to step up and prove their worth.

As Tottenham prepare for the clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Postecoglou will be tasked with instilling confidence and belief in his players, regardless of the personnel available.
