Leading journo Alasdair Gold believes Ryan Sessegnon’s time in London is up

Football journalist Alasdair Gold believes Ryan Sessegnon‘s future at the club is uncertain while speaking on the Gold & Guest podcast. Alasdair Gold is a dedicated journalist who works on Tottenham features for British media outlet Football London.

Gold understands Tottenham just like a die-hard fan. His speculation about Ryan Sessegnon’s future cannot be taken lightly. Injuries have been cruel to the 23-year-old player who recently underwent a hamstring surgery.

He has spent a considerable amount of time nursing injuries and hasn’t featured for Ange Postecoglou apart from the seven-minute cameo against Burnley in the FA Cup. Gold says:

“I think in an ideal world a loan next season probably would be great for him (Sessegnon), but like we say, if his contract ends in 2025 you can’t really do that unless there’s some kind of option to buy.”

The club underwent massive changes while Ryan Sessegnon was dealing with his injuries. Finding a new home will be a realistic option for the England star should he wish to resuscitate his career.

A big summer awaits

Tottenham had a mediocre summer window with just Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin making it into the squad. The Lilywhites also secured Lucas Bergvall who will be joining the North Londoners ahead of the next season.

Ange Postecoglou’s arrival has marked positivity within the dressing and among the fans. The Aussie man has huge plans for the club’s future. Part of that will be having a busy transfer period in January.

The club should have no dearth of funds. Combined with Postecoglou’s eye for fine talents, Tottenham can be a force to be reckoned with. However, that will also mean offloading unused talents.
