Tottenham skipper Son Heung-min urges squad to stick together in times of adversity

As Tottenham Hotspur head into the final leg of the season, skipper Son Heung-Min is banging on about the importance of sticking together through thick and thin.

Despite a string of losses, including a 4-2 defeat to Liverpool, we’re still holding onto fifth place in the Premier League, with a slim chance of catching Aston Villa in fourth. With Burnley, Manchester City, and Sheffield United on the horizon, Sonny reckons it’s time for the lads to pull together. Here is what he told the club’s official website:

“Look, in a tough moment, it’s a good opportunity to get everyone together,”

“We can see everyone at the start of the season when everything was good, everyone was together, everyone was joy, everyone wanted to watch our games.”

“This is the first time of the season that we have a big challenge, so we have to face it and we have to get better, stronger and even tighter.”

Sonny’s been chatting about the rough patch we’re going through, seeing it as a chance for the team to come together. He’s been reminiscing about the good old days at the start of the season when everything was peachy. The lads were buzzing, the fans were buzzing, and the football was buzzing. We were bloody unbeaten until that Chelsea match, which gave us our first loss and multiple injuries.

We’ve had a bit of a rough ride lately, haven’t we? But it’s a far cry from the cracking form we showed at the start of the season. Back then, we were on fire, tearing up the pitch and leaving our opponents in the dust. Now, it’s all about digging deep and finding that spark again. Inspiration is nowhere but in the team itself. Just play a few highlights from earlier this season, and it should be easygoing.

With only a handful of games left, every point matters in the race for European qualification. We’ve got some tough fixtures coming up against Burnley, Man City, and Sheffield United and our only aim must be nine points.

As Tottenham gear up for the final push, Son’s rallying cry resonates loud and clear. With the whole squad pulling in the same direction, there’s no limit to what we can achieve. Despite the bumps in the road, Son and the lads are determined to finish the season with a bang, to show the world what Spurs are made of.

When times get tough, Sonny’s adamant that the key to success lies in sticking together. It’s all about showing solidarity, backing each other up, and pushing through the hard times as a team. We have been great previously, and we can be great again, only if we have belief. Ask Ted Lasso, he’ll also tell you to Believe.
