Tottenham Hotspur could be tempted to sell Pedro Porro this summer if they receive a €60-plus offer
With plans to reinforce the squad across multiple positions after a forgettable season, Tottenham Hotspur may need to part ways with a key player or two to fund the incoming deals.
The defence appears to be an area in pressing need of a revamp. Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven—Spurs’ undisputed first-choice centre-back pairing—have not enjoyed great campaigns, especially due to injury problems. Romero, in particular, is now planning to end his stay at N17 and move on for pastures new that fit his ambitions. A summer move to Atletico Madrid appears on the cards for the Argentinean international.
Spurs are also planning to move on both Ben Davies and Sergio Reguilon upon the expiry of their contracts at the end of the season. Now, the club would be open to cashing in on a defender if one of his suitors meet their high valuation.
According to a report from Caught Offside, Spurs are presently uninterested in selling Pedro Porro, but their mind could change if they receive an offer of around €60-€65 million. Top European clubs such as Barcelona, Manchester City and Bayern Munich are interested in the right-back.
Pedro Porro has enjoyed another strong season at an individual level in a Tottenham shirt. While there are still some question marks over the Spanish full-back’s defending, he has shown how valuable an asset he can be for the North Londoners going forward, having managed 31 goal contributions in 102 appearances for the clubs thus far.
The 25-year-old has also contributed chiefly to Tottenham’s run up to the Europa League final. He made an assist for James Maddison’s goal in the first leg of the semi-final against Bodo/Glimt, before scoring a crucial goal in the return leg in Norway last week. Despite his importance and influence in Ange Postecoglou’s first XI, the Hotspur Way chiefs appear open to listening to offers for Porro.
As Spurs are likely to part ways with Big Ange at the end of the season and go for another squad rebuild, the report adds that Porro may be tempted to jump ship and join one of the aforementioned clubs to enrich his career.

When a club has a season as poor as Spurs have, usually they tend to struggle to hold onto their best players and it appears that might be the case with the Lilywhites this summer. Porro has performed well in an otherwise underwhelming and injury-hit Tottenham side, and given the Spaniard is contracted to the club until 2028, we remain in a strong bargaining position.
That said, it looks difficult to see any top European club table an offer in the region of €60-€65 million. This is perhaps Daniel Levy’s tactics to ward off interest in Porro.
