Tottenham poised for four way transfer battle for 27G/A African star

Tottenham are aiming to bring in attacking reinforcements in the summer
Tottenham are in desperate need of a creative wide player for next season. The Lilywhites have struggled to create chances from the flanks and it has affected the performances on the pitch on several occasions. The North London club has also struggled to provide an attacking outlet from the flanks as many key players have endured a ‘stop-start’ campaign.
Spurs winger Brennan Johnson has been one of the top goal-scorers under Ange Postecoglou this season. The Welshman enjoyed a purple patch midway through the season that helped the Lilywhites care out positive results in crucial games. However, Johnson has not performed consistently and the 23-year-old has managed to score just one goal in his last ten outings for the club.

The same can be said about the other wingers in the squad. Club captain Heung-Min Son has struggled to make an impact in the final third of the pitch this season as well. The South Korea international looks terribly slow while attacking and it is fair to say that he looks way past his best now. Mathys Tel is another player that has failed to impress the fans since arriving in January. But, the Frenchman is still young and has time on his side.
Tottenham may find landing Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo tough
Tottenham need to address the attacking issues in the squad quickly. With Timo Werner heading for the exit doors and Heung-Min Son’s future remaining uncertain, Daniel Levy will need to bring in a winger that has the potential to become a world-class player at N17 in the next few years.
It was reported earlier that Spurs were interested in signing Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford in their efforts to improve the quality of the attack. The aforementioned report also mentioned that the Bees were willing to accept an offer in the region of around £50-55m for the Cameroon international.
But now, according to GIVEMESPORT, Tottenham are not the only ones willing to sign Mbeumo in the summer. Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Manchester United are also interested in landing the 25-year-old in the transfer window. The Brentford star is open to head for pastures new in the summer and wants to test himself in a top team that is competing for titles.
Bryan Mbeumo’s stock has never been higher. The winger is enjoying a stellar campaign at the GTech Stadium and has already registered 19 goals and provided eight assists in 41 games this season. He can operate as a right-winger and is very efficient in front of goal. The Cameroonian can also dribble past defenders with ease and is great at set-pieces. The most important quality that he possesses is being available for the team.

Daniel Levy will need to act quick if he wants to land the prolific winger in the summer. Signing Mbeumo would be a massive step in the right direction and it would enhance the quality of the squad in more ways than one. Bringing the Brentford star in would also mean that Brennan Johnson would lose out his place in the starting eleven next season.
