Joe Cole batting for ‘his pals’ as he predicts Europa League final between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United

Tottenham and Manchester United gear up in Bilbao for a season-defining Europa League showdown
Tottenham and Manchester United have been two sides of the same coin this season, both enduring one of their worst domestic campaigns in decades. With United sitting 16th and Spurs just behind in 17th, their league form has been dismal. However, both clubs now have a shared opportunity for redemption as they prepare to face off in Bilbao in just a few hours for the Europa League title.

A victory in Bilbao on Wednesday night would erase the memory of poor Premier League form, but a loss would only worsen what has already been a disappointing season.
The clash at San Mamés promises to be a gripping one, and Joe Cole has weighed in with his thoughts ahead of kick-off. Tottenham and Manchester United are meeting for the fourth time this season.
Jo Cole names his winner for the much awaited clash
Spurs have won every previous encounter, but those results will count for nothing once the referee gets the final underway in Bilbao.
Postecoglou’s side are expected to start on the front foot, while Amorim is likely to adopt a more cautious strategy. With both teams equally capable of securing the trophy, neither can be called the outright favourite heading into this final.
Joe Cole has backed Tottenham Hotspur to end their long trophy drought by beating Manchester United in the Europa League final. Speaking to Mail Sport, the former England international revealed his confidence in Spurs, admitting he wants his friends, who are attending the final, to finally enjoy a celebratory moment.
He further explained he has had enough seeing them always disappointed in the group chat and would prefer for his friends to end the season on a happy note.
The Former Chelsea Midfielder talking to Daily Sport, wants Tottenham for the glory
“Man United-Spurs? I fancy Spurs in the game.”
“I’ve got a few of my pals going out there, watching it, and I don’t want to see them crying on my shoulder again. I’ve had enough of them all getting sad.”
“So, I want them to have a lovely day, win a trophy, and we can all get off their back in the group chats.”

Tottenham will no doubt take confidence from their three victories over Manchester United this season. James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski played key roles in those wins, contributing goals that helped Spurs come out on top. However, with both now ruled out of the Europa League final, and young talent Lucas Bergvall also sidelined, Tottenham face a significant creative setback.
Despite this, there’s belief that Ange Postecoglou will find a solution. As fans, we remain hopeful that Spurs will maintain their winning momentum and finish the season with European glory. Come on you Spurs!
