Nottingham Forest keen to disrupt Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of Serie A star

Tottenham target Dusan Vlahovic is wanted by Nottingham Forest
Tottenham Hotspur need to bring in attacking reinforcements in the summer to improve the quality and depth of their front line.
Squad revamp is the need of the hour after such an awful domestic campaign. New signings that fit the club’s profile are required to close the gap on the rivals next season. Richarlison has endured another injury-ravaged season, contributing very little on the pitch as a result. This has led to speculation that this could be the Brazilian’s final season at N17, with the club chiefs frustrated with his lack of productivity due to persistent injury problems and inconsistency.
If Spurs manages to offload Richarlison, they’d need someone to replace him in the squad. That player has to be a quality striker who will not only boost the squad numbers but also provide cover for the club’s first-choice No.9, Dominic Solanke.

It was reported earlier this month that Juventus were open to selling Dusan Vlahovic in the summer for a fee of around £20million. Tottenham have been contacted by the striker’s agents over a possible move to White Hart Lane. The Lilywhites have retained an interest in the Serbian international, yet thrashing out a deal would not be straightforward.
This is because Spurs are not the only club keen on the Juventus striker. According to an exclusive report from GIVEMESPORT, Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo and influential figures have earmarked Dusan Vlahovic as a potential summer recruit. They are looking to land the centre-forward from Turin giants to bolster their attacking unit ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Vlahovic is edging closer to the final year of his contract, but as he has given indications to the Juventus board that he wants a fresh challenge, they will not want to run the risk of him walking away as a free agent at the end of next term. Nottingham Forest want to bring in fresh competition for Chris Wood and view Vlahovic as a potential target, having shown plenty of ambition during the last summer’s transfer window.

The 25-year-old is expected to accept a pay cut in order to facilitate a switch away from the Allianz Stadium this summer. With the Serie A side ready to accept a fee of around £20million, Tottenham must certainly battle Forest for Vlahovic’s signature.

Strong in the air and quick through the ground, Vlahovic would provide a different dimension than Solanke to Tottenham’s attack. The Belgrade-born star’s stock has plummeted in the last 15 to 18 months, but he is still 25 and could embark the best years of his career soon. So, it would not be wise to write him off, considering how good he was in front of goal during his Fiorentina days.
That being said, Tottenham must do everything within their powers to beat Forest to Vlahovic’s signing. A win over Manchester United in the Europa League final in Bilbao would only boost the North Londoners’ hopes to land the big Serb.
