“I’m committed”- Danish tactician opts against taking on Tottenham challenge amidst Ange Postecoglou uncertainity

Thomas Frank has no intentions of swapping Brentford for Tottenham in the summer
Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has been walking a tight rope at N17 for quite some time now. It is still undecided whether the Australian will stay beyond this season after delivering a major trophy on Wednesday night. The Lilywhites managed to do the unthinkable and won the Europa League under the ex-Celtic boss to end the season on a high.
In an ideal world, the European success should be enough for Big Ange to save his job and continue his project at Hotspur Way. But Spurs have endured a disastrous domestic campaign under the 59-year-old and the Australian is staring down the barrel of the gun at the North London club due to this. One can only assume what the future holds for the Tottenham manager.

It was reported earlier that Daniel Levy was going to sack Ange Postecoglou once the season ended, irrespective of the outcome in the Europa League final. If this still stands true, then the Spurs chairman will need to act quickly to get a replacement in before the summer transfer window starts. The Lilywhites need to make the right call regarding the managerial situation if they want to build on the Europa League success next season.
Tottenham suffer blow in their pursuit of Brentford boss Thomas Frank
Tottenham have been in the market for a new manager for quite some time now. There is no surprise that the Lilywhites want to replace Ange Postecoglou, and Daniel Levy has already spoken to a few managers regarding the managerial opportunity at N17. It is still looking likely that Big Ange might face the sack even after achieving Europa League success this season.

Spurs are linked heavily with Brentford boss Thomas Frank and view the 51-year-old as the ideal manager to replace Ange Postecoglou at the helm. However, the Lilywhites have received a massive blow in their pursuit of the Danish manager. When asked about the Tottenham links, Thomas Frank said in his pre-match presser (as transcribed by Football.london),
“Right now, of course, I am committed. I just lost to Fulham, our local rivals, so [I am] fuming in every aspect. So yes, I am committed like I have always been.”
Thomas Frank insisted that he is committed to Brentford for the time being and wants to continue his project at the GTech Stadium. The Bees have come a long way under the 51-year-old. From getting promoted to the Premier League in 2021, to challenging for a spot in Europe four years later. The Danish manager has done an excellent job at the club and there is no surprise why Spurs are looking to hire him.

Now, Daniel Levy must switch his focus to other potential targets if he intends to replace Ange Postecoglou. The Lilywhites are also linked with former Ajax boss Francesco Farioli. The Italian is admired at N17 and Levy believes he would be an ideal candidate to kickstart a new era at the North London club.
