Journalist reveals divided opinion among Tottenham players on Ange Postecoglou

Allnutt reveals split in Tottenham’s squad over Ange Postecoglou’s leadership
Tottenham has done it, they are now champions of Europe, a title Arsenal will never be able to claim. After a difficult and turbulent season that saw them sink as low as 17th place and fail to win any domestic cups, the club now faces a major dilemma.
The board is divided over whether to search for a new manager or stick with the man known for winning in his second season. Fans, too, are torn. Ange Postecoglou was on the brink of being sacked heading into the summer, but his Europa League victory has made it increasingly hard for Daniel Levy to justify parting ways with the manager.

On The Tottenham Way Podcast, Tom Allnutt shared a lot of interesting information about Ange Postecoglou’s future at Spurs and how the squad thinks of their manager. The Manager is not especially to be blamed for the bad season – largely because of injuries and persistent inconsistency – the Europa League win has inspired new hope into the squad. As Ange said, the third season is always better than the second, and that belief could be the answer to the Lilywhites’ revival.
Journo reveals the team is divided about Ange
Tom Allnutt, speaking on The Tottenham Way Podcast, revealed that there is a divide within the Tottenham squad over Ange Postecoglou.
According to Allnutt, three or four players are fully behind the manager, while another three or four are firmly opposed. The majority of the squad, however, fall somewhere in the middle—neither fully supporting nor completely opposing him.
The Journo believes some players had already mentally checked out from Postecoglou, and vice versa, despite players publicly offering their opinions when asked. He emphasized that while there are strong supporters and detractors, the bulk of the team remains uncertain.
The Journo speaking on The Tottenham Way Podcast, shared what he had heard
“I think that is revising history. Like, the way we have seen some players play in the last few months, well, to be honest, we’ve heard and we know, I think there are, you know, some players in the squad who had checked out with Ange, and he had checked out with them. Yes, players will say things, of course, because they get asked questions,” Allnutt said.
“And I think, I have no doubt, there are three or four players who are very strong on Ange. There are probably three or four at the other end of the spectrum. There are quite a lot of other ones in the middle.”

Ange Postecoglou has just delivered Tottenham’s first trophy in 17 years, making it seem unfair to sack the Australian manager at this stage. However, history shows that other managers in similar situations, despite better league performances, have still lost their jobs. The Tottenham squad remains divided over their manager, which isn’t an ideal foundation heading into next season. Only time will reveal the fate of the manager who stayed true to his promises.
