Tottenham Hotspur are in the market for Chelsea star Noni Madueke.

Tottenham have been interested in signing Chelsea winger Noni Madueke this summer

Tottenham Hotspur are bracing for a crucial summer, where multiple changes are expected to happen in the current roster and also at the helm.

Ange Postecoglou is perhaps wary of his fate that is set to be decided very soon. Daniel Levy has already started looking for potential managerial candidates to replace the Australian before the 2025/26 campaign commences. Simultaneously, him and Johan Lange are also scouring the market for fresh blood that needs to be pumped into the squad after a forgettable season.

The Lilywhites are looking for reinforcements in attack, owing to the uncertain futures of Richarlison and Son Heung-min. Richarlison continues to be linked with a return to Everton, while the Hotspur Way chiefs are planning to cash in on Son. While Brennan Johnson ended the 2024/25 season as the club’s top scorer, his influence was missed in many games. So, a right-winger to compete with Johnson could on the club’s agenda.

In potential search for new additions to their attacking unit, Tottenham have now been boosted in the pursuit of one of their summer targets. According to a report from Football Insider, Chelsea are open to listening to offers for Noni Madueke if they complete the signing of Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Jamie Gittens.

The Blues have made contact over a deal for Jamie Gittens, and with the winger having a £51m release clause in his current contract, they are now expected to up their ante to land him. Should they manage to do so, they will sell Noni Madueke this summer.

This is because Chelsea bosses feel that the winger’s development has stalled, the aforementioned report adds. However, Tottenham could face competition from Newcastle United for the England international’s signature.

Madueke has never really managed to establish himself as a regular starter at Chelsea since arriving from PSV Eindhoven in January 2023. A combination of inconsistency and injury problems have not allowed him to progress at a rapid rate which the Pensioners would have expected when signing him. Despite that, he ended this past season with 11 goals and five assists across all competitions, decent numbers for someone who couldn’t nail down a starting berth under Enzo Maresca.

More Tottenham Hotspur News:

At 23, the English winger certainly has his best years ahead of him but he may need to pick the right environment to get his career back on track. A move back to Tottenham would benefit Madueke, who is an Enfield youth product. He’d be a good option to boost the North Londoners’ squad depth while competing with Johnson on the right flank next term.

However, with Madueke’s contract at Stamford Bridge not expiring until 2030 (Transfermarkt), it will be interesting to see how much Chelsea would want to sell him this summer.
