Massive changes are already happening at Tottenham after the historic Europa League win last month. The Lilywhites have parted ways with Ange Postecoglou, and it is believed that the Australian tactician will not be the last person to head for pastures new in the summer. The North London club is facing a huge summer overhaul as they look to build on the Europa League success next season.

The buzz around N17 after the Europa League win has certainly died down in recent days. But that should not stop Spurs from being proactive in the transfer market as Daniel Levy looks to bring in new players in the summer. However, the Lilywhites will be forced to adopt the ‘sell-to-buy’ policy due to the disastrous Premier League campaign that Ange’s men endured.

Spurs will be looking to cash in on underperforming players in the summer following a disappointing domestic campaign. The Lilywhites are already playing catch-up with other Premier League clubs in the transfer market, and fans are worried that Daniel Levy will miss out on signing the intended targets if Tottenham continue to be complacent.

One of the first things that Daniel Levy must address in the summer is the midfield area. Tottenham have struggled in the middle of the pitch throughout this season, and it is best that they enter the transfer market looking for a solid midfielder. With Yves Bissouma facing an uncertain future at N17, Spurs must make sure to bring in a quality replacement to fill the void left behind by the Mali international.

As per TEAMtalk, Spurs are interested in signing Morten Hjulmand from Sporting CP in the summer. The Lilywhites have been long-term admirers of the Danish midfielder and view him as the ideal replacement of Yves Bissouma heading into next season. Daniel Levy believes that Hjulmand would be a perfect fit at N17 in the defensive midfield pivot role.

However, Tottenham are not the only ones that are looking to sign the 25-year-old in the summer. The aforementioned report suggests that Manchester United is also keen to sign Hjulmand for next season and Ruben Amorim’s links with the Danish midfielder might prove to be a decisive factor. Sporting CP are willing to let him go in the summer have set a price tag of around £50million for his services.

Signing Morten Hjulmand in the summer would be a step in the right direction for Tottenham. The Denmark international would instantly become a starter under the new manager at N17, replacing Yves Bissouma in the starting eleven. But the Lilywhites would first need to cash in on other players to afford Hjulmand’s services.

The Sporting CP midfielder would be an ideal fit at N17. He is versatile and can player as a number eight as well. The 25-year-old has tremendous work-rate as well, and thrives in a possession-based team. He can create chances from deep and has a good passing range to break the opposition press. The technical aspect of his game is strong and Hjulmand tends to drop between the defenders to free up space for his teammates.
