Tottenham manager Thomas Frank will be under the microscope following his switch from Brentford

Tottenham have a massive chance of closing the gap on their rivals next season and build on the Europa League success. Whilst many fans would have preferred to see Ange Postecoglou be at the helm following the Europa League success, Daniel Levy thought otherwise and went on a different route. In hindsight, the decision to sack the Australian tactician might just be a blessing in disguise for the Lilywhites.

The North London club appointed Thomas Frank as Big Ange’s replacement heading into next season. The 51-year-old has done an incredible job at Brentford, leading the club from the Championship to top-flight football in no time. Not only that, but the Danish tactician also ensured that the Bees become a solid mid-table team in the Premier League during his seven-year stay at the club.

Leaving the Gtech Stadium for North London seems like a risky move, considering the scrutiny Spurs get if things go south. But the Danish tactician is full of belief and he seems ready to make the move as they look to kickstart a new era at N17. Fans will hope that the newly appointed boss gets backed by Daniel Levy in the summer following the Europa League success that the club endured.

Bryan Mbeumo backs Thomas Frank to do well at Tottenham

The jury is still out regarding Thomas Frank’s appointment as the new Tottenham manager. The Danish tactician has a massive task of following the footsteps of the manager that ended the club’s 17-year wait for a major trophy. Every result and every decision taken by the ex-Brentford boss will be put under the microscope by the media and the fans.

But, Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo believes Thomas Frank will succeed at N17 in the coming years. Speaking to Sky Sports, Mbeumo said,

“I think he knows everything. He’s really smart. He knows where he wants to bring the team, how he wants to play. I think he’s been fantastic for Brentford. I think he’s going to have some time to adapt, obviously. [Champions League] games, more expectations, as you said, but I’m sure he’s going to do well. He knows how to talk to people. He knows how to build a group. And that’s why we’ve been playing so well.”

Bryan Mbeumo suggests that Thomas Frank knows what his goal is at Tottenham and how he wants the Lilywhites to play under him. The Cameroon international also insists that the new Spurs boss might need some time to adapt, but the 51-year-old will still exceed expectations despite the Champions League games. Mbeumo also praises Thomas Frank’s communication skills and believes that the Danish tactician knows how to make a team work.

Whilst Bryan Mbeumo is backing Thomas Frank to succeed, the Spurs fans want the Cameroon international to join the 51-year-old at N17 for next season. The 25-year-old is heavily linked with a move to North London, and signing him would be the first step towards closing the gap on their rivals next season.
