£40m world-class Premier League star set to snub Tottenham; he wants La Liga move

Tottenham are keen to land Man United winger Marcus Rashford in the summer
Tottenham are looking to bring in reinforcements in the summer following a disastrous Premier League campaign. The Lilywhites finished the season just a place above the relegation zone, registering 22 losses along the way. They also failed to reach the 40-point mark in the league, and would have been in a relegation scrap if the teams below them were somewhat competitive.
There is a clear need to bring in new players that could elevate the quality of the squad heading into next season. The North London club must close the gap on its rivals quickly following the Europa League success. And for that, Daniel Levy needs to back Thomas Frank in the transfer market.

One may suggest that Champions League football at N17 would lure some players to join Spurs in the summer. But so far, the Lilywhites have not managed to enter concrete negotiations for any player that they intend on signing. The fans are worried that Daniel Levy is setting up Thomas Frank for failure as the Dane gets ready for his first season in charge at Hotspur Way.
Tottenham face setback in their efforts to land Man United star Marcus Rashford
Tottenham are looking to address the wide areas of the pitch as they look to bolster their squad for next season. With Heung-Min Son heading towards a potential exit amid Saudi links, Daniel Levy wants to bring in a quality replacement that could fill the void left behind by the South Korea international.
It was reported earlier that Spurs were interested in signing Marcus Rashford from Manchester United. The England international has fallen out with Ruben Amorim at M16, and wants to exit Old Trafford to rejuvenate his career again. The Red Devils are willing to let the 27-year-old leave and have slammed a price tag of £40m for his services.
However, Tottenham have received a massive setback in their efforts to land Rashford. As per Ben Jacobs (via X), the England international prefers a move to Barcelona instead and he is giving the La Liga giants a priority. Not only that, but the Blaugrana are also interested in signing the 27-year-old on loan for next season.

It looks certain that Spurs might miss out on the prolific winger in the summer. Now, Daniel Levy must shift his focus on other players that could replace Heung-Min Son on the left flank. It was reported earlier that Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze is interested in a move to N17 and wants to work under Thomas Frank. Levy must pull out all the stops and land the 26-year-old in the summer to earmark the Thomas Frank era at Hotspur Way.
