£68m ‘world-class’ English star wants Tottenham move; arch rivals set to face setback

Tottenham fans will soon see Eberechi Eze don the Lilywhite jersey after Crystal Palace star agrees N17 move
Tottenham finally have the chance of making a mark in the summer transfer window now that the managerial situation at N17 is sorted out. The Lilywhites are already playing catch-up in the window while other clubs are signing top-class players to bolster their squad depth. The North London club cannot afford to waste any more time if they want to close the gap on their rivals next season.
Daniel Levy is aiming to build on the Europa League success next season. And the club chairman recently put out a bold statement suggesting that Spurs are now aiming to win the Premier League and the Champions League in the near future. Not only that, but the Englishman has also insisted that the club are willing to back Thomas Frank in the summer to build a strong squad.

It is now time for Levy to put the money where his mouth is. The Lilywhites cannot afford to waste any more time if they want to kickstart a new era at N17. There are several problems to address at N17, and it can only be sorted out by bringing in reinforcements for next season as the club looks to compete for trophies again.
Tottenham emerge favourites to land Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze
It has been well documented that Tottenham are trying to bring in a new attacker that could replace Heung-Min Son in the line-up, and also provide competition to James Maddison in the number ten position. Not many players in the market fit this calibre, so Spurs have limited their focus on some statement signings from other Premier League clubs.
It was reported earlier that Spurs are interested in signing Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace. The England international has become a cult-hero at Selhurst Park after scoring the only goal in the cub’s historic FA Cup final win against Man City. Now, it is believed that the 26-year-old is open to head for pastures new in the summer.
However, as per TBR Football, Tottenham are set to emerge as favourites to land the talented attacker. Eze is keen to move to N17 and work under Thomas Frank and has snubbed the chance to join Arsenal. The Eagles have also put a £68m release clause in his contract that needs to be activated to secure a deal. But the aforementioned report states that Palace are now willing to accept a £30m fee upfront and the rest of the release clause being paid in two instalments.

This is a massive boost in Tottenham’s efforts to secure a statement signing to kickstart the Thomas Frank era at N17. Eberechi Eze will instantly feature in the starting eleven under the Danish tactician. This means that Heung-Min Son will lose his place in the team, and James Maddison will be pushed a little back to accommodate the wide-player.
