Thomas Frank green lights Tottenham star’s exit amid interest from Galatasaray

Tottenham forward Richarlison is expected to head to Turkey to join Galatasaray
Tottenham Hotspur managed to win the Europa League in May, securing Champions League qualification for the next season in the process. They have a new boss in Thomas Frank, who faces an uphill task of filling in the boots of a manager who ended the club’s long trophy drought in May.
The Lilywhites are in for a massive rebuild this summer under the watchful eyes of Thomas Frank. However, they are yet to get going in the transfer market which has frustrated the fans. Spurs are now playing catch-up to their Premier League rivals and face the peril of missing out on their intended targets.
There is a big need to bring in a new attacker after the problems Tottenham faced last season. And Richarlison was a part of the problem.

Richarlison joined Tottenham in a £60m deal from Everton in July 2022. He has endured a frustrating three-year spell at White Hart Lane, with persistent injuries hampering his progress. However, the Brazilian international had a strong end to the 2024/25 campaign, playing a crucial part in the club’s Europa League success, even starting the final against Manchester United ahead of skipper Son Heung-min.
Yet, it looks like the club has seemingly decided to part ways with him. According to an exclusive report from The Sun, Tottenham are more than happy to cut their losses on Richarlison and offload him in the current window. Thomas Frank has approved the 28-year-old’s prospective exit from the North London club.
Reports in recent months claimed Everton have shown interest in taking back the versatile forward. While he has been heavily linked with a return to the blue half of the Merseyside, Everton boss David Moyes has rejected the opportunity to sign the Spurs man as he is focusing on other targets to replace Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The aforementioned report adds Richarlison is expected to move to Turkey and join Galatasaray. As a deal for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is looking unlikely to happen, Galatasaray have switched their attention to the Tottenham centre-forward, who could be available for only £20million.

Such a low valuation set by the club is a clear indication that they want to move on Richarlison this summer by hook or crook. The striker will be seeking regular game time next season in order to ensure he finds a place in Brazil’s squad for the 2026 World Cup, but with Dominic Solanke expected to be Frank’s first-choice to lead the attack and the club moving in a different direction, it appears that Richarlison’s time at the Hotspur Way is about to come to an end.
