Paul O'Keefe says Tottenham could rival Man United for Bryan Mbeumo if Thomas Frank arrives

The North Londoners have been looking to compound their offensive roster in the ongoing summer transfer window as Daniel Levy looks to bring in some goalscoring firepower in the front line after Tottenham Hotspur’s struggles to find some clinical depth in front of goal, and the Lilywhites have been linked with a move for Bryan Mbeumo.

Mbeumo is linked with Man United, Tottenham have another alternative

Will Tottenham concede defeat to Manchester United in the race for Bryan Mbeumo?

The Brentford forward could end up being an ideal signing for Thomas Frank’s roster as the Dane head coach looks good at his structural framework at N17. But with Manchester United looking to get a deal done for the 25-year-old as well, it becomes more complicated for Tottenham and Levy.

Now according to recent reports from transfer guru Fabrizio Romano via GIVEMESPORT, Spurs have been looking at Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze as an alternative to the Bees star forward.

Eze is possibly one of the cleanest 1v1 technicians in the English top tier, and his dominance in that creator role in zone 14 is possibly the best in the Premier League outside the traditional big six. And if Daniel Levy is looking to add more ceiling to the roster, then he needs to make a statement of intent, and Eze should be the name that the Lilywhites need to bet big on this summer.

Arsenal also want Eze

With Eze, the thing is also that now Arsenal has also entered the race for his signature, and this is where Levy needs to compound his efforts to make sure that he gets this one over the line because the Gunners are moving quite aggressively in the transfer market under Andrea Berta, as we saw with how they leapfrogged the Lilywhites into a transfer for Norgaard in the past weeks.

For Levy, now he cannot afford to lose two marquee players from the transfer market in Mbeumo and Eze.

We do think that there are possible alternatives that the North Londoners can consider if Daniel Levy doesn’t end up getting Eze through the doors at N17 but hopefully it doesn’t come down to it.
