Tottenham want to cash in on Yves Bissouma this summer amid interest from Fenerbahce and Juventus
Tottenham Hotspur are continuing to reshape their squad ahead of Thomas Frank’s first full season at N17. This has led to the North Londoners acquiring the services of Kota Takai and Mohammed Kudus, whilst turning Mathys Tel’s loan into a permanent deal from Bayern Munich.
The club bosses also want to offload players to make room for fresh faces in the squad. Yves Bissouma is one of those who is on Spurs’ chopping block. The central midfielder saw his importance to the Tottenham side diminish in a difficult campaign last term, and now having entered the final year of his contract, he is expected to be cashed in.
Yves Bissouma made 44 appearances for Tottenham last season but was not a regular starter in the Premier League under Ange Postecoglou. In fact, he has struggled to fulfil his potential at N17 following his arrival from Brighton and Hove Albion three summers ago.

The Mali international has been heavily linked with a move to Fenerbahce in recent weeks. A Fenerbahce representative flew to London for talks with the midfielder earlier this month, while Serie A side Juventus have also expressed an interest in him.
Tottenham could find it tough to offload Yves Bissouma
Some reports suggest that Bissouma has expressed a desire to remain at Tottenham. The combative midfielder has a year left on his contract and wants to fulfil it, which means the North Londoners are in danger of losing him on a free transfer in 2026.
Given he has 12 months left on his deal at White Hart Lane, reputable podcast Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham feels the lucrative benefits could be driving the 28-year-old’s decision to remain at Tottenham over moving to another club.
“He’s got 12 months left on his contract and I don’t see him getting a new deal,” John Wenham exclusively told Tottenham News.
“Hotspur Way is like a seven-star luxury golf resort there with the lodge, the hotels, you get to have a nice life living up in Hampstead or the Crews Hill area. It’s no wonder that these players don’t want to go.
“As well as all the good things of Hotspur Way, it can be a hindrance in trying to shift players who’ve got a comfortable, good life there, who won’t want to go and play with West Ham and be in the porta loos at Rush Green.
“But for Bissouma, hopefully, a Premier League club will come in for him. He was fantastic in the UEFA Europa League final. Hopefully, that will garner some interest in him and he will leave permanently because, as I said, he won’t be getting a new contract at Tottenham.”

Spurs must sell Yves Bissouma this summer
Bissouma is unlikely to get a new contract offer from the club thanks to his inconsistency and questionable actions off the pitch. It is difficult to get such a fantastic life, facilities and services as well as a comfortable life elsewhere, which as Wenham rightly points out may be a factor for the midfielder to stay and fulfil the last 12 months of his contract.
This would put us in a risk of losing the African for free next summer if the club do not agree a deal for his exit or extend his terms in the coming months. Thus, Spurs must try getting a fee by selling Bissouma this summer without fail. Hopefully, after Fenerbahce and Juventus, there will be clubs looking to sign him before the transfer window slams shut.
