Tottenham Hotspur icon Gareth Bale could take to the field once again, this time under Arsene Wenger
It’s been a couple of years since Gareth Bale hung up his boots. But according to Football.london, it looks like he is ready to lace it up again, even if it is going to be only for a one-off Icons Match in Seoul. And for Tottenham fans, it would be absolute bliss.
Given that, the 36-year-old will be lining up alongside the likes of Ronaldinho, Henry, Kaka and Rooney when they play for FC Spear. The aforementioned stars will be tasked with getting the better of a Shield United defence which would have the likes of Carles Puyol, Alessandro Nesta, Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand.
While it is only an exhibition game, it will, however, give the Lilywhites faithful an opportunity to get a glimpse of Gareth Bale. For many of the North Londoners’ supporters, it is a reminder of what might have been.
Bale is possibly one of the best deal Daniel Levy made

Daniel Levy recently concluded his 25-year stay at Hotspur Way, and of all the deals that the 63-year-old has been a part of, this might turn out to be the best one. He made a £10m punt to bring Bale to Hotspur Way from Southampton, and he turned into one of the greatest players in the world. Eventually, he sold Bale to Real Madrid for a then-world-record £86m.
Bale went on to be a success in Spain as well. He earned five Champions League titles with Los Blancos, and if you turn up to pubs around N17 and ask any Tottenham fan about his 2012/13 season donning that Lilywhite badge, it still feels like peak Bale. He was a one-man menace who was dragging a side well short of title contention into Europe.

And he also had a second stint at Tottenham when Mourinho brought him to N17; when he was supposedly finished. Bale still managed to notch up 11 league goals.
Playing under Wenger will be a strange twist
The irony of Bale taking the field again is he would be linking up with Arsene Wenger. For years, the Frenchman was on the opposite touchline trying to sum up a defensive strategy while Bale was tearing down that left flank in north London derbies.
And now Arsenal’s legendary manager will be in his dugout.
This will be a massive opportunity for a lot of Tottenham supporters out there to watch someone they sang at the top of their lungs for once again. It may not be a competitive match, but just a glimpse of Bale on the pitch possibly making one of those infamous runs on that left flank would be enough for many supporters to have their eyes water up…
