Tottenham Hotspur are said to return to Premier League duties after the international hiatus. Thomas Frank’s side are set to face West Ham at the London Stadium this weekend.
We have seen the Dane head coach enjoy a solid start to the campaign at N17. We say from the get-go how he has implemented a structural system which could cause problems for some of the most elite clubs in Europe. And that is quite visible given the performances Tottenham had against Arsenal in the preseason, PSG in the Super Cup and Manchester City in the Premier League.
While that defeat to Bournemouth before going into the summer transfer window showed how there is still a long way to go for the North Londoners under Thomas Frank at N17. But there are signs, and the Lilywhites faithful would be hoping that they can get to see some of those against the Hammers this weekend.
Kudus could play a big part in the outcome vs West Ham

This will also be the first time that Mohammed Kudus will play his former employers since his marquee transfer to Hotspur Way. When he penned that contract down earlier this summer, he became the first player to move to Tottenham from West Ham since 2011. And the former Ajax star has been outstanding at N17.
He has been settling in quite well, given the chemistry he has been forming with Pedro Porro on his flank.
But the right winger will return to London Stadium this Saturday. But while it is expected to be an exciting game, the owner of the reputed Spurs podcast Lilywhites Rose, John Wenham, thinks that there would be ‘carnage’ if Kudus ends up being decisive in the outcome of the game. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, he said:
“There could be a pitch invasion because West Ham fans are at boiling point, that three-goal win over Nottingham Forest was massive for them and very unexpected.
“But if Tottenham turns up and rolls them over, it could be carnage, especially if Kudus is involved and gets an assist or a goal, then they will really be at the boiling point at West Ham.”
Author Opinion
Kudus has already become an important part of how Tottenham plays under Thomas Frank. And that shows in how much ball-carrying responsibility he has been given by the Dane head coach. If he continues to display the form he showed in the past games, there is a chance he could end up getting a moment or two of his own against Graham Potter’s side.
He has that capacity to make an impact and maybe show West Ham fans what they are missing…
