“Really happy”- Thomas Frank ‘pleased’ with Daniel Levy parting gift as Tottenham enjoy fruitful summer

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to build on their UEL success this season under Thomas Frank

The recent transfer window was like no other for Tottenham fans, as the club finally showed ambition in the market and got some impressive deals over the line. The Lilywhites managed to pull off major coups that bolstered the quality of the squad in more ways than one. Thomas Frank had always reiterated that the North London club would only go for players that instantly improved the team… and they did just that.

The high-profile arrivals of Xavi Simons, Mohammed Kudus, and Randal Kolo Muani make Spurs an enticing team to watch this season. Not only that, but the cute business to bring in Joao Palhinha, as well as, signing Mathys Tel on a permanent deal clearly makes the Lilywhites favourites to finish strong in the Premier League this season.

Tottenham managed to bring in some quality players to give Thomas Frank the best chance to build on the UEL success.

After a whirlwind few weeks in the summer where Tottenham failed to sign Eberechi Eze and Morgan Gibbs-White in quick succession, Daniel Levy certainly managed to save face by signing other players that are just as good. Signing Xavi Simons might just prove to be a masterstroke, as the Dutchman has a massive ceiling and can reach his potential under Thomas Frank.

Tottenham have certainly backed Thomas Frank in the summer

As we all know, Thomas Frank has stated clearly that he aims to make Tottenham ‘serial winners’ during his time at N17. It is easier said than done, but the Danish tactician should now walk the talk after the Lilywhites have clearly shown ambition to back him in the transfer window. The ex-Brentford boss wants his team to compete hard on all four fronts, and they will need to start carving out results when it matters the most.

The Spurs manager has now given his thoughts on the club’s transfer window following a rollercoaster summer. Speaking in his pre-match presser (via Tottenham Hotspur), Frank said,

“”I’m really happy with the squad. I think the Club has done a really good job. It is very impressive what they have been doing and how they have improved the squad. I’m pleased with the squad.”

Thomas Frank seems content with the way Tottenham have gone about in the transfer window. The Danish tactician is impressed with the Lilywhites’ ambition to improve the squad in the summer, showcasing intent on all fronts. And the Spurs manager has clearly stated that he is pleased with the players he has in his ranks.

All eyes will be on Thomas Frank and his men now as they look to bounce back from the defeat against Bournemouth this weekend. The Lilywhites are facing West Ham in the London derby, and fans will hope that the new signings can hit the ground running and get the club back into winning ways instantly. There is a long way to go in the season, but the players should aim to take each game as it comes.
