Tottenham expected to bring back former honcho following Daniel Levy exit; talks held

Date:

Tottenham Hotspur are in talks to bring back Fabio Paratici

Tottenham Hotspur had been linked with a possible return of Fabio Paratici for a while. But then that Daniel Levy exit made the whole reunion at Hotspur Way a bit uncertain, given how the two aforementioned names had been close.

But it could still be a possibility given that the former Juventus chief has reportedly been pleasantly surprised by Vinai Venkatesham and his approaches.

Paratici hold talks over possible Tottenham reunion

Vinai Venkatesham wants the Lewis Family to hire Fabio Paratici on a permanent role at Tottenham

And revealing on TBR Football, Graeme Bailey insists that Paratici sees Venkatesham as a professional. And he has been impressed with how the new Tottenham CEO reached out to him. Making him see Vinai as someone he can closely work with. Both men have this sense of mutual respect and are sailing in the same boat that values continuity and knowledge of the roster and what it needs (something that Paratici masters).

Let’s be honest, Fabio Paratici has an excellent hit record when it comes to transfers at Hotspur Way. He has been credited with some of the Lilywhites’ most successful signings of late. The likes of Cristian Romero, Pedro Porro, Destiny Udogie, and Pape Sarr have all been his signings.

And then bringing Paratici means Tottenham are getting someone who is already familiar with the squad and the inner workings at Hotspur Way. He is not like an outsider and hence wouldn’t need that time to assess the squad.Fabio already knows the dynamics of the roster and the long-term needs that come with where Tottenham want to be.

And Venkatesham is trying hard to convince the Lewis family to reinstate Paratici at N17 on a full-time basis.

If we are speaking about Fabio, he is not short of options. He has been speaking with other clubs, including some of the rivals from the English top tier. And the 53-year-old is weighing up whether he should commit to Tottenham sans Levy. But given his recent talks with Vinai Venkatesham, he is strongly considering it.

Thomas Frank backs Paratici involvement

Thomas Frank had backed Paratici publicly

And to back it all up. The new man at the helm, Thomas Frank, has also backed Paratici’s involvement in public. The former Brentford manager had told the media:

“Fabio is a consultant. Of course, I speak to him. I’ve spoken to him mainly in the transfer window while he’s part of the group that works and deals with the transfers. I’ve got a good relationship with him.”

Given that the Dane head coach has already made one of his signings his captain and then continues to heavily rely on other Paratici players, the head coach would definitely make a full-time return.

And while Paratici is open to working under Venkatesham, the big question remains whether Tottenham can move quickly enough to tie him down before another club.
