Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a 2026 move for Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo
The decision-makers at Tottenham Hotspur had been extensively pushing to bring in a new wide forward in the recently concluded summer transfer window. And given that Xavi Simons has been considered to play in more of an inverted role (or even a traditional #10 role), it would be highly likely that the Lilywhites move to sign a winger again in 2026.
While there have been many linked with a move to North London, Antoine Semenyo has been a standout among them.
The Ghana international was subject to a link with a move to Hotspur Way last summer, but no move materialised. Bournemouth were stubborn in their stance of keeping hold of the 2000-born winger.
But that is not to stop the likes of North Londoners from monitoring him with eyes on a 2026 transfer.
However, the Cherries are said to be uninterested in letting go of their star, at least in the upcoming winter transfer window, as per latest by TBR Football transfer correspondent Graeme Bailey. And it is to be seen if Tottenham keep that desire to move for him again at the conclusion of the ongoing campaign.
Semenyo would add a lot of sharpness to Tottenham’s attack under Frank
Bringing in Semenyo through the doors at Hotspur Way would help the North Londoners add a lot of sharpness to the attack under Thomas Frank. Given how he is quite direct with his approach and then how he is a runner adds a bit more dynamic to the current roster.
But there is more; he has that physical understanding of angling his body which can come in quite handy in the English top tier. And as we are seeing from him this season, he has that ability to carry the ball at speed, which makes him a natural fit for the transitional system that Thomas Frank is trying to implement at N17.
When you keep him next to the likes of Brennan Johnson and Mohammed Kudus, Semenyo would give Thomas Frank & Co. much more unpredictability in the final third.

We saw how Tottenham looked way too predictable last week when they faced a low block against Wolves. And this is where they lack that wide forward who has a sense of physically bullying defenders and turns half-chances into something more dangerous. But what is more important is that Thomas Frank needs that verticality in the transitional attacking movements. And in Semenyo, Tottenham get exactly that.
