Tottenham ace Harry Winks could get La Liga transfer wish after latest development at Valencia
According to Spanish publication Sport (h/t Football.london), Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks could be granted his La Liga transfer wish after recent developments at Valencia.
The 25-year-old has struggled for regular game time this season under Jose Mourinho, starting just six Premier League games. This has led to him seeking a move away from Spurs in the summer, with Spain being his preferred destination.
And, the midfielder could now be in a position to get his wish in the summer transfer window. La Liga outfit Valencia are said to one of the clubs interested in signing Winks. Indeed, Los Che had made an attempt to sign Winks in the January transfer window on loan but were rejected. (h/t Football.london)
But, Valencia could make a renewed attempt to sign the England international in the summer either on loan or on a permanent basis, despite their current financial situation. This is because the La Liga outfit could be poised for a takeover in the near future.
Indeed, the Crown Prince of Southern Malaysian state Johor, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, has expressed an interest in taking over from the much-maligned current owner Peter Lim at Mestalla. This should bolster the club’s finances as well as their transfer ambitions ahead of the summer window. (h/t Football.london)
