Transfer News: Manchester City willing to include Bernardo Silva in Harry Kane deal
According to a report by Daily Mail, Manchester City are unwilling to meet Tottenham Hotspur’s £150million price tag for star striker, Harry Kane.
The Citizens have already offered £100million for Kane and are open to going up to £130million. However, they are not looking to meet Daniel Levy’s valuation of the 28-year-old striker.
Instead, they are open to including Bernardo Silva as a makeweight in any potential deal. While the 26-year-old Portuguese’s stance on any move to N17 is unclear as of now, Raheem Sterling has already made it clear that he does want a switch to Spurs. (h/t Daily Mail)
Kane failed to show up to training last Monday and took 5 days to finally arrive at Hotspur Way to train with the squad. While the reason for his absence remains up for debate, he hasn’t pleased the entirety of the Tottenham fanbase with this act.
The drama keeps going on
He has been on Spurs’ books for his whole career but being absent without any clear reason would undoubtedly lead to fans questioning his commitment to the club. However, Kane clarified the situation to some extent.
In a statement on his social media account, the England international who scored 4 goals at the 2020 UEFA Euro, mentioned that he did not refuse to train. However, the post still failed to provide a complete insight into the confusion that unfolded during last week.

Whatever the reason may be, it’s good to see him link up with the team and save the club more embarrassment regarding the situation. Kane has come to become the face of this new Spurs side.

And Nuno Espirito Santo would know that he has a better chance of winning silverware with Kane in his side, rather than at City. Any player that City offer Spurs may not be able to replace a potent number 9 like him at N17, at least right now.
