Tottenham to offer Hugo Lloris a two-year contract extension
According to journalist Ekrem Konur, Tottenham are planning to offer Hugo Lloris a two-year contract extension. The Spurs custodian will see his current deal expire this season. However, there are added claims that Spurs are indeed very close to agreeing on the deal with Lloris.
There’s not a lot to say about Lloris that has not been said already. Stepping into his 10th season at Spurs, the French keeper has been a model of consistency. Over those years, he has stuck with the club through thick and thin, helping them climb up the ladder of English and European football.
Lloris may not have won a trophy with the club but his World Cup with France is a testament to the quality he possesses as a keeper. While there have been occasional errors, those have been reduced recently. He recently became the only Spurs player to make 300 appearances in the Premier League as well.
Coming to his contract situation, Lloris will see his current deal expire in less than a year. That means he could leave for free next season. Journalist Ekrem Konur has claimed that Spurs are going to offer him a two-year extension. That should alleviate some of the speculation over his future at the club.

Lloris deserves a new contract for all that he has done so far. The Frenchman is still at a decent age for keepers and from what we have seen this season, he still has a lot to offer. Spurs are a very young side now and Lloris’ experience at the biggest of stages will no doubt be valuable in guiding this team.
