Paul Merson makes his prediction for Arsenal vs Tottenham

Speaking to TalkSPORT (h/t Metro), Paul Merson feels Tottenham Hotspur will be under pressure from Arsenal when they face each other. The former Arsenal man backed his former side to run out winners in the London derby on the weekend.

With one London derby done and dusted, Spurs will have to look forward to another. Over the last weekend, Spurs were dismantled by Chelsea in a second-half blitz. While Nuno Espirito Santo will have to face his former side, Wolves, in midweek, it is the fixture on the weekend that will excite everyone.

Spurs lost the last game to Chelsea

Spurs take on arch-rivals Arsenal in the North London derby on Sunday. Both sides have had contrasting forms over the season. Spurs started with wins but have now lost the last two while Arsenal started with consecutive losses and won the last two. It makes for interesting viewing because Spurs look a bit all over the place while Arsenal are starting to gather momentum.

As the buildup to the game continues, former Arsenal player Paul Merson gave his prediction for it and the reason behind it.

‘I said even then when Arsenal had lost all three games and when Spurs had won all three games, that there is no way Arsenal will lose this football match. I don’t see Arsenal losing the game. There is a lot of pressure now on Tottenham. The game yesterday, in the end, it was a bit like watching an under-10s team playing against a man’s team. It was shocking.’
