Tottenham Hotspur handed boost as Arsenal face problems in negotiating with Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia via ViolaNews (h/t Daily Mail Online), transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio has said that the agent of Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic has refused to negotiate with Arsenal amidst interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

Having scored ten goals while assisting once from 13 matches across all competitions, it is no wonder that the Serbian has attracted interest from elsewhere. His current contract with the Italian club will expire in the summer of 2023.

The 21-year-old is said to have rejected a contract extension with his current club for a potential move in the future. The Gunners were leading the race since they had made contact with the Seria A club for a January transfer.

Tottenham were said to be dealt a blow by I Viola’s £68million valuation as Mikel Arteta’s side were ready to match it. However, Vlahovic’s agent has not picked up calls from the North London rivals for negotiation.

This could hand Antonio Conte’s team a lifeline since they could reassess their option and take advantage of this situation. The arrival of the Italian boss could influence the Serbian forward for a move.

However, Juventus are said to be in the pole position to get the services of the attacker. It is claimed that he may have already agreed to terms with the Bianconeri, which would ruin the plans of Daniel Levy.

Levy and Fabio Paratici may need to step things up if they want the Serbian international at our club. He would be a useful long-term addition at the club and could partner Harry Kane to form a formidable duo under Antonio Conte, much like Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku did under the Italian last season.
