Graeme Souness compares Tottenham ace Dejan Kulusevski to Kevin de Bruyne
Speaking in an interview to talkSPORT as quoted by Evening Standard, Graeme Souness waxes lyrical about the performance of Swedish winger Dejan Kulusevski and compares him to Kevin de Bruyne.
Dejan Kulusevski had a match to remember during Spurs’ 4-1 rout of Southampton on the opening day of their PL campaign. He scored and assisted once in Tottenham’s victory over the Saints.
The former Juventus man was arguably Spurs’ best player on the pitch in the match against Ralph Hassenhautl’s side and continues the good form that he has shown ever since he came to N17.
Kulusevski joined Antonio Conte’s side from Juventus on a loan deal with an obligation to buy subject to certain conditions being met. He has really impressed ever since this transfer happened late in January.
The 22-year-old played 21 times for Spurs since his move in January scoring six goals and providing nine assists as he helped the Lilywhites secure a top-4 spot over bitter neighbours Arsenal.
Speaking about the talent that the Swedish man possesses, Souness went on to make a rather bold comparison
“Kulusevski, I think, watch him. I think he’s De Bruyne-esque if you like, and he’s 22 years old.”
While there is absolutely no doubt that Kulusevski is one of the most talented players that Spurs have, it might be a little too early to compare him to a player of the Belgian’s quality and talent.

Kulusevski has what it takes to get there and if he continues influencing games like he has been doing at N17, it may not be long before he is actually one of the best players in the world just like KDB.
